Anyone is welcome to participate.🌈What are the prompts for this event?/Are they optional?
See prompts above/linked.🌈What do you mean by “centered around marriage and marriage equality in Thailand?” Does my work have to depict people getting married?
This event celebrates marriage equality in Thailand becoming a legal right for Thai citizens. However, marriage and/or commitment can look quite different depending on each couple, the story/art, time period, etc. Therefore, your fanwork does not have to be about marriage itself; it can be about any sort of commitment (legal, cultural, religious), a proposal/engagement, a cultural practice, etc. Your work can also include anything that is marriage-adjacent, such as celebrations (parties, weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries) or even divorce! Feel free to explore our prompts and interpret them widely, or come ask us for more information.🌈How do I submit?/What tag should I use?
You can create a post/work on Tumblr, Twitter, Ao3, or another platform and tag it with #ThaiTheKnot2025 or submit a link through our Discord server, Tumblr, or DMs.You can also post your Ao3 work directly to the collection and we will approve it.🌈What fandoms are participating?
Any Thai fandom is welcomed to participate, including but not limited to BL/GL fandoms (such as The Eclipse or Gap the Series) as well as other Thai shows and movies of any genre.🌈What other platforms are participating?
We will also include works from other sites such as Twitter, Tumblr, and others; just make sure you tag your work as #ThaiTheKnot2025 and/or DM us a link!🌈Is there a word/submission limit?
There is no word or submission limit. You can submit as many works as you’d like, for as many fandoms/medias as you want!🌈I want to create fan art or podfic of someone else’s work for the event. What do I do?
If you want to create something based on someone else’s work, you must ask them for permission first and you must provide us with the original fan work’s link as well. We want to make sure everyone is properly credited, so please ensure you have the writer’s/artist’s permission.🌈My fic/work has multiple chapters/parts! What do I do?
You can submit an incomplete work, and we’ll keep track of its completion.🌈I’ve never written or created fan works before! I’m too new/bad/inexperienced/etc.
There are other ways to engage with the Fest, like reading fics, reblogging submissions, engaging with art work through commenting, and even encouraging others through fan labor and research! We encourage all creators, writers, artists, and fans of Thai works to join us.🌈I’ve never written about Thailand/Thai cultural practices!
We have a resources section compiled by several hardworking people that will continuously grow as we find more information.🌈I need an extension!
